Words are for whatever lover you take to bed, or so Reeve would argue. This is who he is, and were Rufus to mock, he could have taken himself in hand and done what he needed because Reeve would not have tolerated it.

There's a polite little fiction going on here between them. That Rufus is in this to learn something, that Reeve to teach. Truth is more likely along the lines of pushing each other's buttons further, because that had been the sort of position they'd put each other in from the start. The good news, of course, being that Rufus likely won't have to hear words like that from Reeve again.

But the purr gets a chuckle in response and Reeve adds a bit more speed for that. See, he can reward good behavior. Or at least behavior in lien with what he's doing here.
