""I suppose," Reeve says, shaking his head. To him it just seemed that the man was returning to proper form.

"He needs peace."

"Don't we all?" Rufus sighs a bit. "I believe this planet has had enough trauma for one generation."

"Careful what words you speak, my love. I worry it might invite more torment," he says, frowning.

Ill things happened in threes it seemed.

"Let's hope not." Rufus smiles gently, but he looks hopeful things are done as he reaches to get some more rice, "I know I am certainly not in the mood for more."

"I'm not in the mood for it either. I want to just have the world get a chance to recover," he sighs.

Oh Rufus, it would be good if they had peace. Reeve sighs and leans his head on Rufus's shoulder.

"At least I can honestly say Shinra won't be draining it for profit, so it should recover in that way." Rufus smiles, looking at Reeve. "Comfortable?"

"Comfortable," he agrees, smiling softly at his beloved. "Don't worry, I wouldn't let you drain it."

"Oh? What would you do if I tried?" He smirks a little, amused. "Tie me down and keep me?"

Oh what a lovely idea.

"I would, but Tseng would free you. He's boring like that."

"Not if I asked him not to." He counters mischieviously. "Maybe that way we could entice him into a three-way?"

Well, that's a fair point. None of the Turks would release him against orders. However...

"I am certain Elena is enough for him, if she's managed to win him yet."

"She's still trying. He's very good at acting oblivious when he wishes." This said, Rufus smirks. "So... shall I order us up some desert, and you can find some bindings and clothes you like for me in that bag of wonders?

I do recall you once threatening good use of my mouth and making me beg for something."

"Sounds like a delight," Reeve agrees, taking a piece of sushi and eating it to buy himself time to think. But he likes the idea of making Rufus beg. A lot. Frequently. Desperately.

"Sounds good."

"Good." Rufus purrs again, kissing Reeve and moving to order them their supposed desert. "Last time I brought that up, you were more interested in giving me things I had never had. This time, I want you to actually dominate me."

Let Reeve sit on that, phone now raised and order being placed.

"Sometimes control is about doing what you want to another person."

He smiles and has another piece of sushi. What? He's still hungry.

Rufus raises a brow at the remark. He's fairly sure that it was Reeve giving control that time, as compared to taking it, since the man had been worried in some ways about Rufus' past then.

Thankfully, he makes no comment on it, instead finishing the order and moving to sit and nibble a bit, seeming very relaxed and content just to sit like this for now.

"Still, I suppose I'm going to have to be a bit harder on you this time, as fun as last time was. I'm feeling a bit more vigorous."

"You and me both." Rufus chuckles softly. "It may have something to do with not seeing each other so long."

So long, and then finding that Rufus was in very real, very deep danger. Oh, it had been so much.

"I was scared for you."

"Worried the Remnants would figure me out?" A simple question with nothing but curiosity behind it.

"Yes," Reeve answers, the truth tearing from him in a moment of weakness. "I'm always scared for you."

[afterlaborday]

"Worry too much, you'll get more lines on your face than your years, Reeve." Rufus smirks at him. "Not that it would look bad on you. But then I might have to call you granpa."

This is obviously Rufus' way to keep Reeve from going too far onto that path, bringing down the good mood they have going. There will be time for that later; tonight, it was his desire to ignore the negative as much as possible and enjoy time with Reeve.

"I've plenty of lines in my years," Reeve counters.

"If you call me granpa, you're not getting laid for a month," Reeve counters. "At minimum."

"You don't want more, do you?" Rufus asks, before snickering at the threat. "Awww, how boring. How about honey?"

"Honey I can accept," Reeve decides after a moment and before he starts to pack up the remaining sushi to put away in the fridge. "And I'd rather avoid lines."
