Rufus raises a brow at the remark. He's fairly sure that it was Reeve giving control that time, as compared to taking it, since the man had been worried in some ways about Rufus' past then.

Thankfully, he makes no comment on it, instead finishing the order and moving to sit and nibble a bit, seeming very relaxed and content just to sit like this for now.

"Still, I suppose I'm going to have to be a bit harder on you this time, as fun as last time was. I'm feeling a bit more vigorous."

"You and me both." Rufus chuckles softly. "It may have something to do with not seeing each other so long."

So long, and then finding that Rufus was in very real, very deep danger. Oh, it had been so much.

"I was scared for you."

"Worried the Remnants would figure me out?" A simple question with nothing but curiosity behind it.

"Yes," Reeve answers, the truth tearing from him in a moment of weakness. "I'm always scared for you."

"Worry too much, you'll get more lines on your face than your years, Reeve." Rufus smirks at him. "Not that it would look bad on you. But then I might have to call you granpa."

This is obviously Rufus' way to keep Reeve from going too far onto that path, bringing down the good mood they have going. There will be time for that later; tonight, it was his desire to ignore the negative as much as possible and enjoy time with Reeve.

"I've plenty of lines in my years," Reeve counters.

"If you call me granpa, you're not getting laid for a month," Reeve counters. "At minimum."

"You don't want more, do you?" Rufus asks, before snickering at the threat. "Awww, how boring. How about honey?"

"Honey I can accept," Reeve decides after a moment and before he starts to pack up the remaining sushi to put away in the fridge. "And I'd rather avoid lines."

"Then try not to worry so, hard as it is." Rufus stands to help Reeve with the food. "I prefer your health stay intact."

"So that one of us doesn't have a major health complication?" Rufus asks, tilting his head thoughtfully.

"Basically." He chuckles and moves to get the latest round of room service. He'll let Reeve finish putting away the dinner, setting the order of desert out as he does. "I think I've taken enough injury for two lives, don't you?"

"You have. So I ask you to avoid it, for the sake of my heart," he said as he closed the fridge and returned to enjoy the dessert.

"I'm certainly trying to." He smiles, grabbing up some cheesecake from the spread, and grins at Reeve. "Want some cheesecake? I can feed it to you."

"If you're going to feed it to me, absolutely."

And he didn't think anything could be as sweet as that.

Rufus laughs a bit, amused at the answer, as he prepares a bite for Reeve. "Somehow I knew you would say yes."

"I am predictable to you at this point I suppose," Reeve offered with a smile.

"Only in some areas." He offers Reeve a bite of the cake. "If it's romantic, you probably like it."

What a thing to say. He wants to laugh, but instead he opens his mouth so the other man can put the food to his lips. And he happily chews once it's there, making a pleased hum as he does so.

Rufus smiles, and takes a bite himself, seeming content right now. He'll even offer Reeve another bite once he seems to have finished the first bite.

Well, Reeve will absolutely make sure to lick Rufus's fingers clean whenever he's given a chance. THis was good. Very good.

"You taste divine."

Rufus chuckles softly, eyeing Reeve with mischief. "Do I? Would you like to taste more?"

As he speaks, Rufus sets down the fork, scooping up a little of the cheesecake with his fingers and gently offers them to Reeve's lips.

"Here... unless you want to taste it on some other part of me?"

"I always want to taste more," Reeve agrees, smiling as he says it. "But this is good."

He leans in and licks over Rufus's fingers to eat the offered piece. And licks suggestively over the man's fingers.

Rufus smiles at that unspoken suggestion, waiting until Reeve has finished so he can lean over towards the man, grinning and stroking Reeve's neck gently.

"Now, don't suggest something like that unless you're ready to do it, Reeve."
