"Alright." He gives Reeve a grin as he slides off his lap. "Let's get some food in our bellies."

Reeve hates the loss of warmth, but he accepts it as Rufus goes. His hand does stroke the man's hip before turning to his food.

"Food in bellies sounds good."

Rufus chuckles at the touch, but is for now behaving himself, moving to sit across from Reeve and grab himself some of the food sitting on the table, truthfully glad for a change from the meals generally made by the Turks over the last year or so.

"I haven't had sushi in quite some time."

His hand reached out for chopsticks. With that he takes a bite of a likely piece and hums in delight. Good food. Very good food.

"I miss it too. Tseng taught me to appreciate it, a while ago."

"Did he?" Rufus looks curious. "I had it when I was pretty young. Thankfully had a taste for it."

"Tseng has often felt the best way to foster understanding is slowly," he says, his voice soft. Or so Tseng had told him when Reeve was new to all of this.

"Sounds like him." Rufus smiles, and it's a fond one Reeve probably only sees with discussions of Turks and himself. "Then again, he likes to take most things slowly. Give himself time to make sure it is done right."

"He helped get you right."

ANd Reeve approved.

"Reeve..." He looks like he wants to laugh so hard, but manages to keep a straight face as he speaks. "If you think I'm "right" I have a bridge to sell you."

"You're closer to right now than you were before," Reeve counters.

And he knows you have no bridges. Don't be silly.

"That wasn't Tseng, but live giving me a huge kick in the ass." He shrugs, obviously not going into many details beyond what he has in the past. "I also doubt anyone who had Stigma and was freed of it came out the same.ç

No, Rufus, he thought it was both things. Because if there wasn't Tseng to help guide it, there was no guarantee Rufus would have changed.

"I don't know. There is Cloud."

"You don't think Cloud has changed?" He actually looks curious. Rude and Reno said he was acting mostly the same, but he had a hard time believing he hadn't changed at all.

"I think... I think he's just reverted back to who he was when it was all won. Something he hasn't been in years."

And Reeve was glad to have hte man returned.

"Then, that's a change." Rufus takes a drink quietly, smiling at Reeve as he sets his cup down. "Hopefully a good one for him."

""I suppose," Reeve says, shaking his head. To him it just seemed that the man was returning to proper form.

"He needs peace."

"Don't we all?" Rufus sighs a bit. "I believe this planet has had enough trauma for one generation."

"Careful what words you speak, my love. I worry it might invite more torment," he says, frowning.

Ill things happened in threes it seemed.

"Let's hope not." Rufus smiles gently, but he looks hopeful things are done as he reaches to get some more rice, "I know I am certainly not in the mood for more."

"I'm not in the mood for it either. I want to just have the world get a chance to recover," he sighs.

Oh Rufus, it would be good if they had peace. Reeve sighs and leans his head on Rufus's shoulder.

"At least I can honestly say Shinra won't be draining it for profit, so it should recover in that way." Rufus smiles, looking at Reeve. "Comfortable?"

Hilarious.

"Comfortable," he agrees, smiling softly at his beloved. "Don't worry, I wouldn't let you drain it."

"Oh? What would you do if I tried?" He smirks a little, amused. "Tie me down and keep me?"

Oh what a lovely idea.

"I would, but Tseng would free you. He's boring like that."

"Not if I asked him not to." He counters mischieviously. "Maybe that way we could entice him into a three-way?"
