[See, now that is the sort of statement that can make Reeve lose the confidence and authority of speech that came with all his years of experience. That... is a very different experience, entirely. The idea of being desired to rekindle the more nervous, shy, uncertain desires of Reno's youth? He doesn't know what to do with that.]

And was what you had tonight sufficient for that?

[ reno's watching him carefully, so you better believe he's about to pick apart every detail of his reaction in search of the actual answer, besides what he says out loud. the unsure look in his eyes kind of... confuses him, too. shit, did he get it wrong? he thought maybe he was onto something with figuring this whole thing out. ]

[Of course not. Because what happened tonight wasn’t even remotely what Reno would have had from him then. No. Tonight had been second of the Turks strong arming an executive who had cheerfully allowed it.]

[ it comes out before he can really stop it, a bit put-out; damn. wrong again. why can't he get this right? what is he not understanding here? it's infuriating—but rather than lose his temper over it again, he just frowns and turns to go look out the elevator window again. ]

[ yeah... er... show him? sounds risky. but he can't just talk a bunch of bullshit about wanting to prove he can do it and then chicken out. he glances over, layering a challenging expression overtop of the anxiousness so that it doesn't show. ]

Alright, but I want a rain check on the rest of your office. Couch, desk, and you in that chair.

[Frankly he doesn’t know he wants more sex he will need to prove he deserves it from Reeve.]

[ he's not sure about it, but god damn it—god dammit, he's going to try. and maybe, hopefully, it'll sink in. if nothing else, he can do exactly as reeve says and notch that one off on his belt and call it a day. it's a conquest for the record books. if anything else comes out of it, he'll just have to wait and see and maybe be surprised. ]

[Good, then Reeve can at least do something. Try and teach something. Reeve nods and when the elevator stops on his floor again he strides out. Time to get packed up for the night.]

[ reno hovers by the door to reeve's office, a bit awkward. maybe just a little bit smug at the state of the place though, aside from the blood on the floor. the look on his face besides that, though, says pretty clearly that he's not so sure about this idea. not reluctance, but this is stepping out of his comfort zone, and for as much as he puts himself in risky situations and does whatever the hell he feels like, he actually doesn't much like not being in control.

eventually, a hint of vulnerability creeps out and shows itself while he's waiting for reeve to finish up. ]

Are you sure...?

[Reeve moves around to tidy some things and pack his brief case. He even takes a piece of paper and writes a note that he leaves on his desk for his secretary for the morning. This could well take some time, after all. Once he's got that all and his coat pulled on, well, he just moves to the door where Reno waits. Moves there and kisses him lightly on the brow.]

I'm certain.

[ he makes a face and turns his head just a little when reeve kisses him, but doesn't well and truly turn away from the gesture. might as well let him, if this is supposed to be part of the whole... whatever the hell it is he's talking about. besides, he's kind of got a headache anyway, might as well kiss it better. he just hmphs and follows after him as they go to leave. ]

You're not gonna start calling me some adorable pet name and shit, are you?

What motivation would I ever have for that? You'd likely bite me. With the intention of bleeding me.

[And he'd not appreciate that particular thing.]

Do you need anything from your office?

[ is that, like, the thing? that's the kink, right? who knows. he's just grasping at straws here. ]

[Reeve moves them to the express executive elevator and fully intends to ride that down to his car.]

[ at least it got a smirk out of him, crooked and sarcastic though it is. ]

Perhaps, but one must applaud skill where it occurs.

[He keeps a straight face though.]

Come now, you know that skill is always meant to be rewarded.

[Well, that reward will come in the future, so he doesn't see a need to explaining it now. Just enjoys the cheerful ding of the elevator and steps onto it.]

Now I have to wonder if you've eaten yet. I could order some food.

[ that's what he usually eats when he goes home. or whatever crap is in the fridge. or he orders out, but not if he's going to be, y'know, busy. busy-busy. like sexy busy. ]

[And he's got many plans, or so the slight smirk as they ride the elevator down says. Room service should be able to provide. Or he can stop somewhere on the way to pick something up.]
