I just didn't think you should miss the show on account of being a few floors away. Hey, if you're busy, you don't gotta pay attention. I won't be offended.
[ but he figures he's got his undivided focus at least for a minute. angling the camera down, just a smidgen, so Reeve can see that he's got his shirt rucked up and his pants undone, but the sleeve of his suit jacket blocks the view juuust a little too much. ]
[ the angle of the camera allows for the obviousness that he's touching himself, but not the explicit view of just how exactly. he laughs under his breath. but he adjusts it again to clear that right up right after he says: ]
Yeah, he'll probably catch on. Maybe I'll get in trouble. You'd get a kick out of watching him discipline me, wouldn't you? Wouldn't even hang up to spare me the dignity.
I know. This is terrible, bad behavior. Not something you'd ever get caught doing... right?
[ in his office, on the clock, that is. the joke is that he's pretty sure Reeve could and would, under the right circumstances. finally, Reno pans the camera back enough to give Reeve the full picture. he can see the grin on his face, how he's flushed down to his chest, and just exactly how he's stroking himself. he was never really one for being subtle. ]
I mean... especially not with a friend. Just a friend. That's why you gotta stay put, cozy in your office.
[ well, color him impressed. he would have thought Reeve would be scared off by now. that's fine, then he's happy to lean back in his office chair and give him a real nice show. ]
Mm, I happen to know he's got an appointment outside the office at six. You work late hours, don't you?
[ it could be a great day for some "overtime." not that he thinks Reeve won't wuss out any second here. not when he's touching himself like that, staring right at the camera, and suggesting a whole lot more than just a cam show. ]
[A vast world more than a cam show. And Reeve blushes, not knowing he's giving in to Reno's prediction by turning off the call and dumping his phone into a desk drawer like it's a venomous snake he needs to get away from.]
[The date had been set for the following evening, giving them both enough time to get ready but, hopefully, not enough time to overthink things and back out. Well, at least for Reeve. Vincent actually finds himself looking forward to the date. He enjoys spending time with Reeve and it had been some time since he'd spent time with him beyond messaging one another.
The bar looked nice, classy and just shy of upscale with both indoor and outdoor seating. The smell of food wafted through the air as Vincent approached as well, but he still hadn't gotten back into the habit of eating, a strange thought if he let himself dwell on it too much, but the truth nonetheless.
He paused, checking his phone to see if there were any messages from Reeve. They'd agreed to meet outside but he doesn't see the man yet.]
[Of course the location was classy. One tried to impress when taking Vincent Valentine out to a bar. The last thing that was needed was to select a place so grungy that Vincent would decide to go disappear for a few years. Or a place their friends would see them.
But just his luck, meetings meant that Reeve was running late. He hated it. But he managed to stay composed as he strode down the street, approaching Vincent in haste.]
[Despite being a few minutes late (not that Vincent even notices), Reeve receives a look that is as close to a smile as Vincent usually comes.]
Hardly. It's good to see you. [He motions toward the entrance of the bar.] Shall we?
[He lets Reeve lead the way and do the talking, content to sit at whatever table he got them. They end up at a table tucked out of the way, offering a decent amount of privacy. Pausing before taking a seat, Vincent undoes the clasps of his heavy red cloak and hangs it up.]
[Good to see him. Reeve chuckles. Few people have that sentiment. He guides them in and gets them a table in the corner, away from the windows. He's still paranoid about his own safety many days. And it's good, for the privacy, even if he hadn't thought about that part. At least vincent seemed to approve.
Must approve, to take off the cloak. Reeve stared for a moment before shaking his head. Don't stare.]
[He'd promised himself to be a little more open tonight and staying comfortably tucked away in his cloak seemed disingenuous somehow. Without it and in the black leather, he looks far less imposing, not that he expected Reeve was at all intimidated by him.
He shrugs slightly, less with his shoulders and more with his hand.]
Sure. You? [He tilts his head slightly, fixing Reeve with a steady stare.] You look a little tense.
You should have said something. We could have met later. [His tone is conversational not chiding. Maybe something to keep in mind for the next date they schedule.]
The uniform suits you though. [Despite leaving his own far behind, he'd always thought the uniform looked pretty sharp.]
I didn't wish to delay this. And I could use the drink today.
[But he's going to need to order food, given he hasn't eaten much today. He does smile at the compliment, looking down at the table rather than at Vincent.]
Not even by an hour? [The hint of a smile played across his lips. It's not teasing in the least bit. Honestly, there was something very flattering in hearing that.]
Let's not waste any more time getting you a drink then. [He searched for and caught the eye of a waiter who came over to take their order. The place seemed like they should have some decent alcohol, so Vincent opts for a simple gin on the rocks.
He waits for Reeve to order before continuing their conversation.] Did something in particular happen today?
Hm, well that's what happens when you're in charge - everyone needs to talk to you.
[Their drinks arrive before he can say more and the waiter cheerfully lets Reeve know that his food will be along shortly.
After taking a small sip of his drink, Vincent looks thoughtfully at Reeve.]
How do these usually go? I imagine they're not the same as they were thirty years ago. [He'd gone on a few dates before meeting Lucrecia and the two of them had only ever really done things like take walks together or picnic.] I should be sitting beside you, shouldn't I?
[It's an unfortunate truth that Vincent hit right on the nose of. Reeve sighed and he took the drink to swirl it lightly in his cup. He has much to think of before he falls into the taste of the drink.]
How do what usually go?
[Reeve tilts his head to consider Vincent. He still isn't certain whether this is... well, intended to be romantic or not.]
I admit, I'm uncertain just what the cope of what you're allowing is. That might need discussed first.
@shafted
[It's a good look. Slightly disheveled and definitely flushed.]
Busy, as ever. Was there a point to this, Reno?
no subject
[ just settling back in his chair with a breath a little too long and deep to be "innocent." ]
no subject
[Because he can't believe this is about to be a thing.]
no subject
[ but he figures he's got his undivided focus at least for a minute. angling the camera down, just a smidgen, so Reeve can see that he's got his shirt rucked up and his pants undone, but the sleeve of his suit jacket blocks the view juuust a little too much. ]

[So mostly he figures Reno is just a showman. ANd yes, he does watch for a moment, blushing at the view.]
Tseng's going to hear me talking and come out of his office.

I... You shouldn't be doing that.
[And yet there he is, licking his lips as he watches.]

My office is far more private than yours.

Maybe I should've dropped by, then, you're right.

[Why is he still watching. Oh dear. He shouldn't be doing this.]
Tseng will find you. It's not worth it.
