"No. It's fine with me." Rufus carefully stands, stretching once more. "Be warmer, too."

"Not if we are lying on top of the blankets."

Still, with Rufus standing, Reeve gets to his own feet. Takes a moment to straighten himself out before stretching a little himself. "Your bed is sort of small. We'll have to stay close."

"Is that a problem?" He grins at Reeve, starting to move towards the bedroom. "I have more blankets and sheets."

"If you can show me where the sheets are, I can change them for you," Reeve offers. He's got the energy for that. But he will be pleased to have the warmth of additional blankets and a warm body.

"Alright." He moves towards the bathroom, the sheets and other linens kept in there. "Do you want me to get anything while you make the bed? Or help you make it?"

"Water," Reeve says immediately. "And yes, help would be appreciated. But more than anything water would be my preference."

He's beyond thirsty after all of this, and the water he finished at dinner was not nearly enough.

Rufus pulls some sheets out, handing them to Reeve with a nod. "You know I have plenty of water. I'll make sure we have a few bottles for the night. If you strip the bed, I'll get the water."

"Thanks," Reeve smiles as he accepts the load of sheets before heading out to the bed.

It's pretty easy to strip the bed down, Reeve clearly has experience with how quick he goes. Not that he knows where to put the dirty ones. He manages to get the sheets mostly in place before Rufus returns with water, but clearly he could use the help making sure that the sheets are secure around the corners.

Rufus will find an out of the way place for the discarded sheets later, but seems content to set the bottles down on the dresser for the moment and move to help secure the sheets. "I'll ask Reno to wash the dirty knew sometime tomorrow."

"Oh yes, that's going to earn me so much mocking on the car ride," Reeve laughs, shaking his head. But he'll take that because in a weird way he really has earned it.


"Do you have a preference for a side of the bed when you're sharing one?"

He's known men more particular on that fact than anything else.

"It will also serve him right." Rufus notes, since they both know the red-head would be making remarks already. "And closest to the dresser, please."

"Alright then," Reeve agrees.

With the fitted sheet on he moves on to the other sheet and then the blanket. Nice and made here. Completed.

"Do you mind if I strip down a bit?"

"I don't mind." Rufus moves to sit on the bed since it's made, tilting his head back to roll it and stretch it. "I promise not to jump you again if I still like what I see."

"Oh, that's not a promise you have to keep," Reeve laughs, shaking his head as he starts removing his clothes. Carefully folds them off to the side so they get the last number of wrinkles given everything. He'll need those for tomorrow. Left his bag in the car the Turks used to pick him up.

"But you said you're old," Rufus coos bratilly. "I don't want to give you a heart attack because of too much exercise."

"Wouldn't be a heart attack," Reeve counters, smirking at that comment.

He's got his clothes all set aside. Still has his socks on, yes he's a terrible person but he's cold.

"It's more of a matter that I don't know how much more I can actually get up to. Not that I wouldn't try. After I'd had some sleep."

Rufus chuckles a little, and goes to fetch an extra blanket for them.

"Snuggling would be fine, Reeve. We can get up to more at another time."

Another time. That comment brings a small smile to Reeve's lips. An interesting thought. But when the next blanket is brought Reeve is happy to take it and lay it out on the bed.

"I do have to leave tomorrow morning. I'm not looking forward to it."

"When do you have to get up? I'll set an alarm." Rufus helps to get the bed turned down, and smiles. "What else do you need before we turn in?"

“I am needed back in Edge by evening,” Reeve shrugs. He could sleep in if he wanted. Because he might well need it.

Other things? Reeve shakes his head at that question. Truly he is content.

“Just to lay down.”

"I'll set an alarm for ten, then. That way we don't sleep all day." Rufus moves to the dresser, messing with a small device shaped like a Chicago, revealing a small alarm clock, and looking at Reeve. "Rude found this in the Shinra gift shop, still working, after the building went down. We decided to hold onto it."

Interesting indeed. Reeve doesn't know how to react to that but he shrugs it off and is happy to wait for Rufus to get into the bed before he settles close to the bed. He wouldn't mind that at all.

"A reminder of survival. For you and it," Reeve considered.

"I don't know if you'd believe it, but Reno and Rude were happy to see anyone survive the building's collapse." Rufus shifts to snuggle into Reeve a little, stretching out as he does. "They knew a lot of people there. I honestly may have been happier, if I wasn't half-dead. Naturally, Tseng probably was and Elena was too new to know many people.

"But those idiots, well, the people and this small little clock? It's really all they needed to keep going."

I am so glad to know. I didn't know what it was.

"As did I," Reeve agreed, and he was happier to know that. But he didn't care about that right now. What he cared about was wrapping himself around Rufus, holding him. He's warm there. He had missed having someone in his arms. "So many died. It was terrible."

Autocorrect creates amusement

"It was a miscalculation on my part." He admits it, though he probably shouldn't, shifting to a comfortable position with his head on the pillow. Maybe close enough to feel Reeve, but not enough to actually touch. "I honestly didn't expect the Weapon would have a chance to attack the building."
